10 Limiting Beliefs Around Money that Derail Your Success

Limiting beliefs around money is a topic that you may not have considered before.

Although we all have limiting beliefs, the good news is they can be managed and even replaced…

But the issue for you may well be that you don’t even know you have these beliefs in the first place.

Over the past 20 years of studying successful people, the one thing that stands out the most is the power of your inner game.

If your mindset is not congruent with your goals, then you are going to struggle, there is no way to sugar coat it…

It’s just the way it works.

Your Beliefs Shape the Outcome of Your Life

Having non supportive beliefs around money, like rich people are greedy or making money means you’re taking money from others is a guaranteed way to prevent yourself from getting rich.

It’s the law of attraction in full force…

Your thoughts lead to your feelings which lead to your actions which lead to your outcomes.

Negative thoughts therefore lead to negative outcomes. You attract what your dominant thoughts are…

Consider this, how could you ever become someone that you look down upon or have a problem with? You wouldn’t right…

So step one to getting success and achieving your wealth goals is to become aware of your non-supportive beliefs around money and wealth and change them to supportive ones.

Now it is important to understand that a belief is only a belief and it’s not a law or rule or something you HAVE to follow…

You have the free will to change your beliefs whenever you choose.

Changing Your Limiting Beliefs

Successful people have one thing in common, they have the right set of beliefs that support their success and financial freedom goals.

Your beliefs around money have likely been developed by modelling influencers in your life like your parents, friends, teachers, the media and even dare I say it, social media…

And these influencers tend to share the main non-supportive, fear-based beliefs around money, which they impose on you.

But as I’ve mentioned already, the good news is that beliefs are neither right or wrong – they are only beliefs – which means you can change them if you WANT to.

If a belief is not helping you, simply replace it with one that does… Here is a great article that can help the process of changing your limiting beliefs.

That’s all there is to it, simple right?

Maintaining Your New Supportive Beliefs

Now that you know the alternative supportive beliefs that you can have, the key is to reinforce them to ensure they become your dominant thoughts.

Whenever you find yourself having one of the limiting beliefs, remember the alternative supportive belief and repeat it to yourself multiple times…

In time it will become your dominant thought and therefore belief. But it does take practice, those limiting beliefs have been engrained in your mind for many years.

To make it a little easier, identify one or two and spend this next week recognising when it comes up and replacing it with the supportive belief.

Once you are comfortable that you have them as your dominant thought, move on to another one or two. Over time you can replace any limiting beliefs with the alternative supportive beliefs and become the money magnet that you desire to be.

Leave me a comment below and let me know which of the limiting beliefs resonates the most with you.
